Democracy in Crisis

Abraham Lincoln once said, "Democracy means government of the people, for the people and by the people". Democracy is the best government because no other form of government is better than this.

Democracy is in crisis all over the world. The civil rights of people, free speech, free press, the rule of law, independence of judiciary all is under crisis all over the world. The totalitarian regimes are emerging. Popular leaders are taking nation towards dictatorship. India is not exception to this.

The ruling party's government is taking nation towards the dictatorship. It used ths state institutions like ED and CBI to harass the opposition leaders.

Central party's main goal is to become the one party state in India. It has toppled many State governments with money power. They are trying best to finish local parties in the States.

The democratically elected Shivsena government in Maharashtra was toppled by the BJP. Wherever they get less seats they purchase the elected candidates of other party and form government. The most cruel thing they did is to topple the shivasena government and destroy it by standing Eknath Shinde against Shivsena. The nation is towards one party state. This is harmful for democracy. The democracy is in danger in India.

Adv Manoharrao Gomare Saheb  Everyday thousands of people die around the world but we care only then when someone near to us is no more.  People come and people go.  It does not change our life.  But some people change our life and the way of our thinking.   The one such person i have seen in my life is Advocate Manoharrao Gomare Saheb. Adv Manoharrao Gomare Saheb died on 20th December 2023 by old age.  Manoharrao Gomare Saheb was a civil advocate practicing in Latur District Court.  I did not have a personal interaction or talk with him ever. But I have seen his life very closely.  My introduction to him was of less than three years.  I listened him for the first time at Latur District Bar liabrary during his autobiography book inauguration.   A polite man with a poetic heart. Mother died after giving him birth. He couldn't see his mother's face also. In his many sad poems...
